Day Twenty Four - What is wrong with this place!!!

We actually started out from St. John's today in bright sunshine and (comparatively) warmer weather!  Poor fools us, we should have known it couldn't last!

Severe thunderstorms have the potential to produce heavy downpours, gusty winds and hail this afternoon. This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements. If threatening weather approaches take immediate safety precautions.
Severe thunderstorms over Central Newfoundland have already produced heavy downpours, hail and strong winds and are expected to maintain their intensity as they move northeastward this afternoon.

  1. Being able to find so much rain in a country so large is a real skill! Gold medal performance! I can see you both reclining back on Air Canada soon, with some lovely G&T's and almost not believing what you have both done! Love cucci x
