Day Seventeen - We're at a bit of a loss....

..... to know what to say about today.  You know how some places have 'it' and some places don't?  Well, if Moncton has it we don't know where they are hiding it.

Somehow the weather gods managed to muster enough rain from yesterday's storm to manage a shower just as we started out. Enough to ensure another day of riding in rain gear although in all honesty it was one of their weaker efforts. Basically they just hurled back the spit we saluted them with yesterday.

We looked forward to arriving in Moncton, the thriving commercial heart of New Brunswick but found it deserted!  Deserted except for homeless bums wandering the downtown streets - we fear a bit for our gallant motorcycle that will have to spend a night alone out there.

Here is a picture of the best dressed man in the city!

Perhaps he gets his clothes here at this Mecca of downtown fashion.

Here is The wondering where all the people are.

Certainly not here at the heart of the entertainment district!

To be fair maybe it's because it is Sunday but, basically, this town is a bust.  Note to Fukawi:  forget this town on our Maritime trip!

We both think that New Brunswick is a beautiful province with tons to see, but maybe it is seen best by basing yourself somewhere for a few days and going out to the attractions - a luxury this type of trip just doesn't afford.

Bring on Prince Edward Island!

  1. Glad we have you out scouting for us. Will certainly make our trip even more eventful next year. I tend to agree with your comment yesterday about doing this ride in the fall but will leave that up to the Fukawi planners.
By the way, The is one heck of a catch. Over two weeks on the road with rain almost everyday and she hasn't told you to drop her off at the next airport, WOW! If I wasn't already happily married, I be asking if she has a single sister.
